Women being in control of their employment, assets, and family planning has notable positive effects on economies around the world. As more women from more countries decide to travel solo or move abroad for education or work, we should be considering what role study abroad programmes can play in these trends related to young women. Join Michelle Lomeña as she shares examples of language students and internship participants abroad, and how conscious efforts to raise awareness about women’s empowerment are affecting their experience and their future.
