Alexis Blackburn-Rose

Alexis Blackburn-Rose is Program Director for Work & Travel USA at InterExchange, Inc., a New York City based not-for-profit cultural exchange organization. Over her extensive 20 year career at InterExchange, she has tackled all aspects related to the administration, compliance and oversight of the Work & Travel program, from conducting participant orientations and host employer site visits, to managing stakeholder relationships with the US State Department and Consular Services at US Embassies abroad, as well as participating in government advocacy.
Alexis holds a BA in Political Science and Eastern European Studies from Indiana University. A semester spent interning with the International Trade Administration in Washington, DC. and a semester abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, gave her an exciting glimpse into the wider world and demonstrated the power of people to people exchanges. Alexis always enjoys the opportunity to travel internationally and meet face to face with enthusiastic young people from around the world looking to experience American culture.
