Marketing Work & Travel Opportunities to Canadian Youth
Wednesday, 13 October EDT : 7:00 – 7:30 | WEST : 12:00 – 12:30 | AEDT : 22:00 – 22:30
International Experience Canada (IEC), managed by the Canadian federal government, facilitates youth mobility arrangements to allow youth between the ages of 18 and 35 to obtain a work permit to work and travel in over 35 partner countries and territories. Like the entire travel and tourism industry, IEC participation was impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and now is the time to consider how to encourage young Canadians to take advantage of the international opportunities available to them when travel is open again. In this workshop, IEC will discuss recent research on the travel preferences of young Canadians as well as the unique barriers that specific communities within Canada face in order to begin a discussion on how we can all more effectively promote and support travel experiences to Canadian youth.
