Our community’s struggles during the pandemic underscored the vital importance of US embassies and consulates to our work in international exchange. This interactive workshop is designed to help your organisation build relationships with staff at US diplomatic posts in your country. Panellists will help you understand how an embassy works, how consular officers adjudicate cases, and how you and your colleague organisations can work together to build relationships with embassy staff that will raise the embassy’s understanding and appreciation of your programmes. This workshop will include a panel presentation, 30-minute breakout sessions in small groups, and time for the groups to report out. The goal is to provide you with ideas that you can take home and use.
