Programme

Opening the world of travel to everyone

Date & time – 28 September, 9:45 – 10:30
Keynote

The concept of disability doesn’t mean what it used to, and all industries are having to consider how to actively include this ever-growing and diverse group of people. Author and disability rights advocate Patrick Kane will speak about the importance of accessible travel, and what we all need to consider when it comes to seeing the world. With over 1 billion people having some sort of disability, it has never been more important to consider who you are talking to when operating in the travel industry.

Patrick, a triple amputee and an avid traveller, will share his own story and experiences of getting around the world, as well as describe an uplifting and challenging talk which touches on broadening horizons and considering what opportunities exist in the less obvious places.
