Getting Canadians abroad – What makes them tick?

Date – 14 September 2023
Time – 15:30 – 15:50
Location – Workshop area, CCL

Canadians, like other youth around the world, want to explore the world but sometimes not just as tourists. International Experience Canada (IEC), managed by the Canadian federal government, allows Canadian youth between the ages of 18 and 35 to obtain a work permit to work and travel in over 30 partner countries and territories. As a reciprocal program, youth citizens from our partner countries can do the same in Canada. IEC will share recent findings from its public opinion research on what motivates young Canadians to go abroad and for longer periods of time. This can translate into marketing tips and strategies to attract Canadian youth to your destination for work and travel. Let’s collaborate to promote and support work and travel experiences for youth.
