It may be our last day but we still have plenty in store for you, including lunch with DAS Robin Lerner from the US State Department, plus workshops, seminars and our closing keynote session with Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the world’s greatest living explorer – not to be missed!

And be sure to join us for the glittering Global Youth Travel Awards ceremony at The Mansion House tonight – buses leave from outside the CCD at 19:30 sharp. Please remember to wear your badge.

We have noticed that the message board is filling up – please check it today to see if you have any messages. You can find the message board – sponsored by Isaacs – on the left hand side as you walk into the Trade Hall.

Here’s a message from our sponsor StudentUniverse and a taste of what’s on at WYSTC today:

Student travellers represent a key demographic for travel brand growth, but only if brands commit to understanding the evolving wants and needs of this primarily youth-driven segment.

In this report, the student traveller is defined and their in-destination desires framed, plus key changes already happening industry-wide are defined.

Join DAS Robin Lerner to hear more about the ‘100,000 Strong in the Americas’ initiative

Ahead of her J-1 Visa Programme update at 13:20 today, WYSE Travel Confederation is delighted to be welcoming Robin Lerner, principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the US State Department responsible for the J-1 Visa Programme, to address WYSTC delegates during lunch today.
For this session, Ms Lerner will be joining us in her capacity as a representative of the White House and the US State Department and will be sharing information about the 100,000 Strong initiative; the campaign established by the United States to increase student mobility through bi-lateral agreements with China and Latin America.
The 100,000 Strong initiative reflects the recognition of the importance of education travel and the need to expand study abroad opportunities for students to better equip them for the 21st century global workforce. It also seeks to improve the economic and social prosperity that will result from closer bi-lateral relationships between participating countries. We are proud to have the ability to provide WYSTC as a platform for the White House to raise awareness of the campaign and stimulate participation and collaboration within the global youth travel community.

Join us in the The Liffey B at 12:40 to find out why, as an education or travel professional working with students, there are some very good reasons you should be excited about this initiative.
