Founder & CEO, Work It

Guillermo Gilbert is the Founder and CEO of Work It Ecuador, a BridgeUSA Summer Work Travel agency focused on expanding access to cultural exchange opportunities across Latin America. Since founding the organization in 2022, he has led its growth from fewer than 250 to more than 500 annual participants through structured recruitment, participant preparation, and data-driven operational systems.

Guillermo holds a Master of Research (MRes) with Distinction from Imperial College London and has a professional background spanning research, higher education, consulting, and international mobility. He has contributed to academic publications, taught at university level, and delivered presentations at educational institutions in Ecuador and Chile. At WYSTC 2026, Guillermo will share practical strategies for building early recruitment pipelines and improving participant readiness in emerging markets.
