Over the last three years, South East Asia is seeing the emergence of more upscale and boutique hostels along with committed brands opening new hostels within the region. This emergence is due to the travel appetite for South East Asia, not just globally, but within the region. All this thanks to a growing middle class, a passion for travel, and ease of access at a competitive price due to low cost carriers. This session will review the trends supporting specific developments on the hostel front in Asia.
