Learn more about the needs and wants of the millennial traveller
At WYSTC 2015, a panel of international students – coordinated by the Erasmus Student Network and moderated by Carl Michel from Generator Hostels – will articulate their current travel preferences and expectations, discuss how the economy and social media inform their lifestyle, consumer decisions and vice versa, and describe their anticipations for the future of youth, student and educational travel.
Millennials have grown up in a digitally-connected world where travel is easier and relatively cheaper than for previous generations. Last year WYSE conducted the Millennial Traveller survey in order to capture a snapshot of the behaviours, experiences and attitudes of the ‘millennial traveller’, a young and influential demographic group of travellers born between the early 1980s and 2000.
According to survey findings, the current economic climate, social inequality and education are of the most concern to millennials, but despite these socio-economic concerns they have a strong desire to deepen their knowledge of the ‘authentic’ and ‘real life’ outside of their own cultural borders.
To hear first-hand how these concerns are affecting youth travel, attend this insightful session.
