Programme

International Experience Canada in unprecedented times

Wednesday, 7 October – 08:30-09:00 (EDT), 14:00-15:00 (CET), 23:30-00:00 (AEDT)

International Experience Canada (IEC), managed by the Canadian federal government, facilitates opportunities for youth between the ages of 18 and 35 to work and travel in over 30 partner countries. The onset of COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the tourism industry and youth mobility across the globe, and ultimately on the IEC programme. This presentation will explore key trends related to the impact of COVID-19 on youth mobility and tourism, and provide insight into implications for the IEC programme – outcomes of IEC work permit holders, recovery strategies, and areas for future research – in these unprecedented times.

This session will be delivered, both in French and English.
