Nick Tiernan is the Program Analyst for the Summer Work and Travel, Camp Counselor, and Au Pair programs in the Office of Private Sector Exchange Designation (D).  Previous to this, he was the Program Analyst for the Secondary School Student Program at the same office.  He was also a Compliance Officer at the Office of Exchange Coordination and Compliance.  Mr Tiernan has been a passionate advocate for international exchange ever since he joined the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Exchange (ECA) in 2007 where he worked at the Front Office with previous Assistant Secretaries Dina Powell and Goli Ameri. Prior to the ECA Front Office position, Mr Tiernan worked as a Program Specialist with the ECA Youth Programs and Sports Diplomacy Divisions.  Mr Tiernan started his career with the Department of State in 2005 in the Bureau of Consular Affairs.
