Brian Nicewander has served as a Compliance Officer in the Office of Exchange Coordination and Compliance since 2015, leading and administering compliance reviews of program sponsors in multiple exchange visitor program categories.  He previously served as an analyst in the Office of Private Sector Program Administration from 2013 to 2015.  Prior to his work with the Department of State, Mr Nicewander led survey and data analysis for non-profit organizations.  He is an Army veteran with service in Iraq and Europe. Mr Nicewander has received various recognitions for his work at the Department to include the Franklin Award for superior performance and contributions to the Office of Private Sector Exchange.  He holds a B.A. in Political Communication from George Mason University, and a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from Virginia Commonwealth University.
