Dušan Kovačević is one of the founders and a director of the world-famous EXIT Festival.
He graduated from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication. Dušan received the prestigious Chevening Scholarship of the British government for young leaders from all over the world and he continued his education at the leading faculty of economy in Europe, the London School of Economics, where he received a second Master’s degree in Management. Currently he is finishing his PhD studies in Engineering Management.
EXIT was voted the best festival in Europe on more than one occasion, garnering praise from several influential media houses. The festival has brought hundreds of thousands of tourists to Novi Sad, Serbia, who in turn put EUR 100 million into the local tourism economy.
In 2015, Dušan became the youngest person to receive the February Award of the City of Novi Sad, the most significant city award to acknowledge a distinguished individual with positive influence on the city.
Dušan continues to be involved in a number of projects of social activism and humanitarianism, and influencing positive change in Serbia and the surrounding region of some of the long-held attitudes of decision-makers and the public.
