WYSTC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the WYSE Travel Confederation. WYSTC provides conference and event management services to the confederation, its members, and the youth, student and educational travel industry.

WYSE Travel Confederation is a not-for-profit organisation representing the global community of youth and student travel, cultural exchange and international education organisations.

 

Activities & Member Benefits

 

WYSE Travel Confederation works with its members, sector associations and partners to support the development of youth and student travel by:

  • Providing networking, trading opportunities and representation for members and the youth travel industry at travel trade events worldwide
  • Hosting the annual "World Youth and Student Travel Conference" (WYSTC) and the "Work Experience Travel Market and IAPA Annual Conference" (WETM-IAC)
  • Producing regular research and market intelligence that provides a global perspective on the youth & student travel industry
  • Developing innovative travel and educational products for youth and students, such as the International Student Identity Card (ISIC)
  • Promoting the personal, social, economic and cultural benefits of this $136 billion per year niche industry by lobbying governments, working in partnership with tourism boards, & providing best practice guidelines
  • Promoting responsible travel habits amongst young travellers

The Sector Associations of WYSE Travel Confederation provide a range of specialist services and products that help members meet the demands of today's young traveller. They are as follows:

JOIN OUR GLOBAL COMMUNITY

Membership of WYSE Travel Confederation and/or its sector associations is open to all organisations that have an interest in student travel, youth travel, cultural exchange and international education. The Confederation"s 550+ members are active in 120 countries.

The three types of membership are:

  • Full Membership is for organisations or companies specialising in youth travel, student travel, cultural exchange and/or international education.
  • Affiliate Membership is for Official Tourism Organisations (OTOs) and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
  • Associate Membership is for commercial organisations that provide ancillary products or services to the youth and student industry.

The World Youth, Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2006 through the merger of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC).
