Green initiatives at WYSTC

The World Youth and Student Travel Conference is committed to minimising the environmental impact of the conference. Through the initiatives we are taking, those of our attendees, and by working with suppliers that share our vision of sustainability, we will reduce our footprint.

To help WYSTC achieve its goal, we have enlisted the expertise of Green Globe to help identify, improve and monitor our environmental performance.

WYSTC delegates may choose to offset their conference attendance as well as access guidelines and articles on sustainable travel provided by the WYSE Travel Confederation.

Additionally, suppliers of services to WYSTC, such as transport operators, hotels, printers and caterers are all requested to participate and support our green initiative. While the conference itself, as well as its owner WYSE Travel Confederation, are undertaking a long list of sustainability initiatives to demonstrate our commitment to minimising the event's environmental impact.

To discover more on what your organisation can do to reduce your footprint, see the WYSE Travel Confederation's Responsible Travel Toolkit and their Climate Change and Youth Travel Industry Guide.

To carbon offset your WYSTC attendance please use the emissions calculator available on the WYSTC registration website.
For offsetting any other travel you might be planning, please visit WYSTC partner - Atmosfair's website.
